Western Australia’s Family and Domestic Violence Prevention Stategy to 2022: Creating safer communities

Western Australia’s Prevention Strategy, is a framework for action over a ten year period until 2022 and continues the reforms outlined in the WA Strategic Plan for Family and Domestic Violence 2009-2013 (State Plan). The Strategy sustains a focus on outcomes of prevention and early intervention, victim safety, and perpetrator accountability.

A right to safety : the next phase of South Australia’s women’s safety strategy 2011-2022

Status – CURRENT

This strategy builds upon on the reforms undertaken through the Women’s safety strategy to improve South Australian legislation and services and to strengthen community understanding of the effects of violence against women. It also has a stronger focus on early intervention and prevention – to stop this violence from occurring in the first place.

ACT Women’s Plan

The ACT Women’s Plan 2010-2015 is a strategic framework to assist the ACT government work with the community to improve the status and lives of women and girls in the ACT. It continues the work of the ACT Women’s Plan 2004-2009 by outlining priority areas for women and girls based on principles of access, equity, participation and safety.

The plan identifies the public health priorities for the Victorian Government. Preventative health is key to the plan, and health protection and promotion are also listed as ways to improve the health and wellbeing of all Victorians.

Victorian health priorities framework 2012-2022 : rural and regional health plan

Status – CURRENT

The Rural and Regional Health Plan was released in December 2011. It describes the application of the Victorian Health Priorities Framework 2012-2022 to the specific context of regional and rural Victoria. It acknowledges the particular issues and challenges that impact on the health of rural and regional Victorians. The plan should be considered in the context of the Metropolitan health plan.

Victorian health priorities framework 2012-2022 : metropolitan health plan

Status – CURRENT

The Metropolitan Plan was released in May 2011. It outlines the state-wide planning principles for the Victorian health system. The plan applies the seven reform priorities of the Framework to the context of metropolitan Victoria. The plan should be considered in the context of the Rural and regional health plan.

Improving women’s access to health care services and information: A Strategic Framework 2010 — 2015

This framework informs the directions for the delivery of health services to women of the ACT up to 2015. Key objectives are Incorporating gender mainstreaming, ensuring that policies, guidelines, models of care and strategies are implemented, forming effective and collaborative partnerships, facilitating timely access to the care required, improving and integrating the coordination and roll out of health promotion, etc.

South Australian Women’s Health Action Plan: Initiatives for 2010-2011

The South Australian Women’s Health Policy was launched by the Minister for Health in March 2005. The Policy aims to improve the health of all South Australian women and supports the priorities of South Australia’s Strategic Plan 2007 and the SA Health Strategic Plan 2008-2010. Emphasis is on improving the health of women who have had the least access and experience the worst health outcomes, in particular Aboriginal women.
