THE ACT WOMEN’S PLAN 2010–2015 2013 Progress Report

This report is the first of two reports on ACT Government performance against the ACT Women’s Plan 2010–2015 (the Women’s Plan). The Women’s Plan sets out the ACT Government’s commitment to make the Australian Capital Territory a place where women and girls equally and fully participate in the economy, their community and their city. Access, equity, participation and safety are key principles. The vision of the plan is that the ACT is a place where women and girls realise their potential, are recognised for their contribution and share in the benefits of our community.

ACT Women’s Plan

The ACT Women’s Plan 2010-2015 is a strategic framework to assist the ACT government work with the community to improve the status and lives of women and girls in the ACT. It continues the work of the ACT Women’s Plan 2004-2009 by outlining priority areas for women and girls based on principles of access, equity, participation and safety.

Improving women’s access to health care services and information: A Strategic Framework 2010 — 2015

This framework informs the directions for the delivery of health services to women of the ACT up to 2015. Key objectives are Incorporating gender mainstreaming, ensuring that policies, guidelines, models of care and strategies are implemented, forming effective and collaborative partnerships, facilitating timely access to the care required, improving and integrating the coordination and roll out of health promotion, etc.
